Is There a Way to Profit From Alternative Fuel and Small Cars?

It is interesting that GM stock is going down even though it is investing in alternative energy fuels at a time when oil prices are dipping. Unfortunately, the size of GM as a company makes any profit increases from selling E85 seem insignificant, at least for the time being.

It seems as though compact highly fuel-efficient cars are becoming more popular than large gas-guzzling SUV's and trucks. This trend will likely continue. Too bad that the most significant demand for compact cars is directed towards foreign companies.
