More Info on Alt Fuels

The alternative fuel market is on the rise. Al Gore's movie "An Inconvenient Truth"may have something to do with it. The highest grossing independent film of all time, this all too realistic production might be sparking the conscience of its viewers. The more likely scenario is that consumers are just worried about rising gas prices.

Recently, some new alternative fuel vehicle models appeared at a contest in France. Not only are they going to save you money- they can reach higher-than-average speeds AND they look really cool...or you might think they just look odd.

Car companies have been increasingly appealing to the consumer need for better fuel-economy. Check out the new Honda Fit. This car is visually appealing and gets you 38 mpg.

ExxonMobile on the other hand has a biofuel budget that costs less than a gallon of gas. Shell and Chevron which are spending money on alternative energy are urging a boycott on ExxonMobile. We have yet to see what effect this will have.
